Check out our updated tutorial on using Coffee.
The Coffee module is a simple yet power usability focused module. Inspired by the mac apps Alfred and Spotlight, it offers a simple interface where site administrators can jump to any administration page by typing into a autocomplete field.
In this article I’ll show you how to get Coffee 7.x-1.0 up and running.
Getting Started
Before we begin make sure Coffee has been download and installed. If you use Drush run this command:
$ drush dl coffee
Using Coffee
The Coffee module has no configuration page, just install the module and go. To display the popup window just press alt + d on a mac, alt + ctrl + d for Internet Explorer and alt + shift + d in Opera.
However, it does come with a single permission called “Access Coffee”. If you created a Manager role and want them to have access to Coffee, make sure you assign them the “Access Coffee” permission.
